This week’s Five on Friday talks about the reasons why I shop at well.ca. It’s one of the few places I shop very regularly at online – and for many good reasons! Namely Five! 🙂
1 – They have a “GREEN/NATURAL” section.
Not every shopping site has this – and it is an awesome perk! When you browse what’s in this section, you can discover all kinds of cool gems, like Eden Organic Pasta Vegetable Alphabets (how fun!), Green Beaver Extra Gentle Castile Bar Soap, or Abeego natural beeswax food wraps (if you’re trying to reduce waste in packing food). What’s also awesome is that you can filter your search results on things like “natural”, “organic”, “vegan”, etc.
2 – They have an awesome selection of organic foods & snacks.
Some organic foods and snacks are difficult to find in stores, even some organic markets. well.ca is my source for gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan Mary’s Organic Pretzel Sticks (a hit for our whole family), Enjoy Life mini chocolate chips (dairy, soy & gluten free), Lundberg organic rice cakes (we love the ones with seaweed), Now Foods almond flour (that I use for all my grain-free almond flour recipes), and Eden Organic Crushed Tomatoes (the only brand I know of that uses glass instead of cans for tomatoes!), for a few examples!
And for Christmas – check out these organic candy canes (no artificial colours or flavours, and no high-fructose corn syrup?? SWEEEET!):
3 – They have all the DIY beauty supplies I need.
You may know that I’m into DIY-ing my own face care, cream, lip balm, and shampoo, and well.ca has pretty much everything I need from shea butter, rosehip seed oil, castor oil, vitamin E oil, and much more.
4 – They have awesome weekly sales.
There are different sales every week, and more often than not, there are several brands I like that are on sale! I keep an eye out for the brands I use most often, like Dr. Bronner’s, Green Beaver, or Now Solutions, which seem to go on sale every month or so.
5 – They have free shipping in Canada over $29.
That’s a pretty low minimum to meet for free shipping! Another awesome perk!
