FUSION Serum by FEY Cosmetics REVIEW

FEY cosmetics review FUSION serum juicygreenmom

I hate to admit it, but I think my skin now falls into the category of “aging”. It certainly falls into other categories like “combination”, “sensitive”, “problem”, and “dry”. In harsh cold Edmonton winters, my skin goes a little completely crazy. It was during one of those -30C cold snaps that I received the FUSION serum by FEY Cosmetics to try out.

My skin (and that of my husband and my daughter) was so dry that no matter how much I moisturized, it felt bumpy and crackly. GROSSSSSSS. I hated touching my forehead because it didn’t feel smooth at all. I was hoping the FUSION serum would help.

The FUSION serum is FEY Cosmetics’ Regenerating Serum. It is recommended after exfoliation or peeling, and is supposed to soothe, repair, and re-texture the appearance of skin. It is also supposed to be applied to wet skin, and allowed to be fully absorbed before applying a day or night cream, or makeup.

I used the serum right after washing my face at night. The first few days I used it, it stung. You know that feeling when you put lotion on and when your skin is super dry and irritated? Yeah, that stinging feeling. I rubbed it in gently (trying to use “circular movements” as instructed) and let it absorb for a few minutes. I followed up with either a DIY face oil, or this Babo Botanicals miracle moisturizing cream.

After a few days, it didn’t sting anymore and my face started feeling smooth again! It was so exciting to get away from that gross bumpy cracked texture! I am now on my 4th week of using it and my face feels smoother, and never dry. I have also put extra serum on my hands which have been going through nasty eczema flares from the weather (and stress, of course), and it has also started to calm that down. It hasn’t been eliminated completely, but I am no longer experiencing the nasty cycles of bubbling and severe itching.

Overall I am really impressed with how the serum has worked for me in the last few weeks, especially with so many factors challenging my skin! The serum is very light and easy to apply, so it doesn’t feel like putting anything heavy on my skin.

FEY Cosmetics also has a few other serums, which I will be interested in trying along with this one. I think my next choice will be the ACQUA Hydrating Serum for dry and sensitive skin.

What’s your favourite skin serum?
