A co-worker told me about Lucid Lifestyle on Whyte in Edmonton, and I was keen to check it out. I didn’t even know there was a store that carried sustainable fashion in Edmonton. The store has “thoughtful apparel”, so most of the items fall into the category of “sustainable”, and others get close to that definition. I thought I would share about my first experience at the store.
A few things really impressed me about Lucid Lifestyle:
1. The variety – There was a great variety of styles in the store. The first time I was there, I had 2 other friends with me, and all 3 of us have very different styles and body types. All 3 of us found things we wanted to try on, and eventually walked out with purchases.
2. The service – Andrew, the owner, was extremely helpful and engaging, but did not hover uncomfortably. Also, I had my 3-year-old daughter, and my friend had her 4-year-old and 2-year-old; Andrew was happy to entertain children while mamas were trying on clothes. That is service you definitely don’t get everywhere you shop! (Frankly I avoid shopping for myself with my daughter because it isn’t fun for her.) When I communicated with Andrew later that day, he was kind enough to let me know that my friend’s daughter had left her “sparkly pink purse” at his store, and he held it there for her. Definitely a winner in the service department.
3. The prices – The regular prices are a teeny bit higher than mid-range clothing stores, but pretty comparable to higher-end brands. I got some items on sale which were extremely reasonably priced.
The Lucid Lifestyle website is also up and running, so you can order online!
What would you get at Lucid Lifestyle?
