Since I did a post about my eco-friendly Costco cart, I thought I’d do one for London Drugs as well. There are some surprising green products at London Drugs. There are several items on sale this week so it’s worth your while to check it out.
Dishwashing Liquid – Seventh Generation: This is a great dish soap. It is regularly $3.99/bottle, but I have seen it on special for 2/$5. I find this soap gets pretty good suds considering it doesn’t have any chemical bubble makers.
Eco-Friendly Disposable Diapers:
I’ve written about PC Green diapers before, available at Superstore, which are 1 of my top 3 picks for eco-friendly diapers. The other 2 are on sale at London Drugs this week.
Earth’s Best Diapers: Same company that makes some great toddler snacks. These are my #1 pick for disposable diapers, and they also got an awesome review by Ecoholic Adria Vasil. Soft and stretchy, never had a leak in them. I have seen them at Babies R Us as well, but this is the cheapest I have seen them.
Ultra Green Earth-Friendly Bath Tissue (12 rolls, 400 sheets per roll): This is the first time I’ve seen the brand Ultra Green, but it looks like it’s worth a try. Made of 100% bamboo instead of trees! And it looks like you get a lot more per roll than regular toilet paper.
There is a line of sponges called London Naturals, and they are all made from recycled materials.
Cellulose Scour Sponges (extreme duty, pack of 2, $2.99): recycled cellulose made out of wood pulp and cotton, with scour pads made out of 100% post consumer recycled beer bottles. 100% biodegradable.
recycled P.E.T. poly scours (bag of 4, $3.99): made from 100% post consumer recycled pop bottles.
