Infinity Jars REVIEW: Glass Jars For Every Use!

Infinity Jars REVIEW glass jars for every use juicygreenmom

I LOVE glass jars. Now that I’m trying to purge plastic out of my house, glass and stainless steel are the best options, and I just love glass! Also, glass is the material of choice for projects made with essential oils since some oils can break down plastic (gross!). So I’m always on the lookout for glass jars and glass cosmetic bottles for my DIYs with essential oils.

With essential oils, glass is awesome, but darker glass is even better. You’ll notice that essential oils typically come in dark amber glass bottles, to protect from sunlight affecting the oils (still try not to store in direct sunlight, though!). There’s also pretty blue and green glass out there that are nice. Then I discovered Infinity Jars – the world’s best glass jars!

Infinity Jars makes glass jars and glass cosmetic bottles from a dark violet glass that is light-proof, and has ultraviolet light filtering technology. What does this mean?

Infinity Jars can actually slow down the decaying process of organic matter while maintaining the freshness of whatever you put inside. What sets Infinity Jars apart from all other jars is that it blocks out all harmful visible light rays while selectively ALLOWING infrared and UV-A rays. (InfinityJars.com)

How cool is that?? Their pigmented glass is thicker than standard glass as well. AND all of their jar systems (screwtop and glass-on-glass lids) are AIRTIGHT. This means that the scent of whatever you store inside won’t leak out either. They guarantee that the integrity of the contents you store in these airtight jars will be protected for over 6 months!

I love this example they have on their website – a 7 month tomato test. They put a tomato in an Infinity Jar, and one in a clear glass equivalent and left them for 7 months. How is it possible that the tomato in the Infinity Jar looks perfect – not dried out, no loss of colour, no mold… so when they say “airtight”, they really mean it!

These are the bottles and jars I got to test out:

I loved the quality and sturdiness of these jars and bottles. The jars really were leak-proof and scent-proof; I used them to store lavender bath salts, and some DIY cream. The roller bottles were fantastic for my DIY essential oil roll-ons, and they both worked well (though my preference is always stainless steel). The spray bottle was perfect to carry in my bag for whenever I need to clean a surface, and the dropper bottle was great for a DIY face serum.

Obviously these jars can be used for much more than DIYs with essential oils, though that was my main purpose for them. Storing spices, infused oils and vinegars, the possibilities are endless! They really are the best quality glass bottles and jars I’ve ever used.

What would you use Infinity Jars for?
