Have you tried a magnesium supplement? Why should you?
Here is a simple explanation from Orange Naturals, the makers of MagPop:
Magnesium is, in fact, crucial for our bodies. It’s used by every cell to build proteins, repair DNA, and provide energy. It’s estimated to be used in over 350 different biochemical reactions! (from Orange Naturals: Why Magnesium Glycinate is Awesome)
Orange Naturals is a Canadian company of naturopathic doctors who developed MagPop to make it easy for people to take a magnesium supplement. It is made up primarily of magnesium glycinate, which is magnesium and glycine bonded together – making it easier for magnesium to be digested and used by the body.
Here’s what Orange Naturals says about MagPop:
- Treats these symptoms: fatigue, low energy, agitation, anxiety, restless legs, headaches, irritability, cramping and high blood pressure
- Promotes regular bowel health
- Great for children ages 4+
- Magnesium maintains bone health, muscle and nerve function (important for growing bodies)
And here’s the ingredients list:

So how do you use MagPop?
All you need to do is empty the contents of the packet into a glass and add 150 to 250ml of water, or to taste. Watch the fizz and enjoy! Try taking it before going to bed, or after a workout.
So did I like MagPop? It was really easy to use – pour into a glass, pour water in, stir and drink. I drank it after a tough kickboxing workout (which I have been back to for 6 weeks – after not doing it for 8 years…) and it actually helped to settle me down more quickly. Typically I’m still sweating and feeling like my heart is racing for half an hour afterwards. So I was impressed with how the MagPop affected by post-workout feeling of “normalcy”. I also drank it before bed and had a great sleep! And – it tasted good! I’ve tried other magnesium supplements before and didn’t really love the taste of them. This one really does taste good!
Where can you buy MagPop? It’s available at select Rexall and Bulk Barn locations, as well as online through well.ca.
