Ah, skincare. Now that I’m in my 30s, I notice all these fine lines and wrinkles that my mother warned me about. I have been loving my DIY Face Care system but have recently had some major facial skin issues (Eczema that was once only on my hands is now spreading to my face – likely dietary/gut issues. Talk about detox through the face.). When I got the opportunity to try OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum, I thought I certainly couldn’t go wrong!
I recently got a copy of Gillian Deacon’s book There’s Lead in Your Lipstick, and she talks about the benefits of hyaluronic acid right off the bat:
“Applying this natural nutrient directly on the face smooths fine lines by renewing skin cells beneath the surface. Hyaluronic acid is a powerful antioxidant that helps to prevent free radical damage to the skin from sun exposure and other sources of ultraviolet light.” (There’s Lead in Your Lipstick, p.2)
OZ Naturals was launched by Angela Irish, a certified esthetician with a passion for healthy skin, anti-aging, and natural ingredients. OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum (or amazon.com link here) is cruelty-free, and made in the USA without any alcohol, parabens, or sulfates.
Ingredients: Organic Aloe, Witch Hazel, Botanical Hyaluronic Acid, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, MSM, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Carageenan Gum, Organic Jojoba Oil, Wildcrafted Green Tea, Geranium Essential Oil, Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), Vitamin E (Tocopheryl Acetate), Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Ethyl Hexyl Glycerin. (expires 2 years from date of purchase)
The serum is to be used after washing your face and applying toner (if you use toner). I use my DIY toner, let it dry, then apply the serum on and let it dry. The serum goes on easily and dries very quickly – doesn’t feel greasy or oily at all. Then I apply my DIY face oil. I used the serum during my night-time routine for 2 weeks before writing this review.
The serum is very gentle on my skin and I had no reactions to it; there also is no fragrance to it. Considering my skin issues right now with eczema break outs, I was very happy that there was no adverse reaction! I was paying close attention to the fine lines around my eyes and forehead and noticed a significant smoothing out of these lines after about 4 days of use! I continued to notice smoothing out of lines and wrinkles, and my skin (apart from the angry red breakout spots) felt much softer and silkier. This serum definitely makes my face feel nourished and I am excited to keep using it long term to see how it continues to work!
I hope this OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum review helps you decide whether it’s a product you want to try.
Have you tried any hyaluronic acid serums?
