Zorah biocosmetiques REVIEW
If you’re a reader of my blog, you know that natural and toxin free skin care is extremely important to me. And supporting Canadian companies with a commitment to sustainable development and using organic and non-GMO ingredients is an awesome bonus. Zorah is a cosmetics company out of Quebec that uses fair-trade, environmentally friendly ingredients with a focus on Argan oil. Their products are made in Canada, and are free from parabens, GMOs, propylene glycol, EDTA, polyethylene, PEG, sulfates, perfumes or any ingredients harmful to health or the environment. Sweet!
I wanted to try some face care products that would be ideal for my skin – which tends to be prone to breakouts. Zorah staff recommended I give the Oily Skin Set a try, which includes a face wash, face cream, and night treatment.
Zorah Oily Skin Discovery Set
The oily skin discovery set contains one full product of each of the following:
- kaïla: a purifying cleansing gel and makeup remover
- inua: a hydrating and matifying face cream
- pureté: an anti-imperfection night treatment
Here are the directions for use:
Every morning, wash face with kaïla cleansing gel. Finish with inua hydrating and matifying cream. At night, remove makeup and cleanse face with kaïla cleansing gel and follow up with pureté night treatment. Rinse in the morning.
I tested the products out for 3 weeks, and I have to say – I really love using them! I love how gentle they are, and that they don’t have any overpowering scent to them. The kaïla cleansing gel is very gentle and did a good job of taking off makeup as well. The inua face cream was very light-feeling and not oily or greasy at all. It absorbed easily into my skin without leaving any oily residue. Same goes for the pureté night treatment. They were all non-greasy formulas that were gentle and felt great on my skin.
So how did my skin do? I noticed fewer breakouts than before! When I did get any zits, I found that they were not as severe, and they seemed to respond well to spot treatments with Tea Tree or Frankincense essential oil (for more on essential oils and acne, read this). My skin tone seemed to have less redness as well, and it felt smooth and soft.
Maeva Satin Smooth Body Cream & Argan Oil
Elise from Zorah also recommended using the maeva satin smooth body cream along with the organic cosmetic argan oil for my itchy, eczema-prone skin, and I absolutely LOVE it. I found that the argan oil absorbed quickly into my skin and really helped my skin feel nourished. I would use the body cream with the argan oil sometimes and it was fabulous.
(Note: Elise from Zorah has told me “to use the lightest product first. Oil is the heaviest and therefore should be used after the moisturizer. In the Zorah creams, the argan oil is micronized to work at the derma level. It then hydrates deeply while feeding the fibroblast who are responsible for the collagen and elastin production.”) The consistency of the body cream is sooooo smooth and lovely, I used it all the time.
I absolutely will keep getting these 2 products because they are so amazing on my skin. My skin showed definite improvement and was less itchy (huge huge bonus).
